2. Opening reception for MJ Art Guild Thursday at the MJM&AG

The Moose Jaw Art Guild is pleased to present Blue, their annual exhibition, at the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery from December 5th through January 9th. This year the members decided to present their work in a theme. The exhibition includes 28 artworks representing 19 members.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Dec 5th at 7:30. A new feature for the guild's exhibition is a people's choice ballet box. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their choice and share their comments on the individual work as well as the overall exhibition. Having the public more engaged in the show adds a level of participation that members are looking forward to. The guild's popular hand painted art totes will be on sale only during the opening reception.

The guild will also host an Artist to Artist Afternoon on Sunday, December 8 from 1 to 3 PM Artist to Artist Afternoon is an opportunity for anyone working in any art medium to join members for coffee at their current exhibition 'Blue'. Guests are encouraged to bring 1 to 3 pieces of their own art that will be shown for the afternoon in the midst of the guild's exhibition. Professional artists to beginners are welcome to participate. It's a casual event to share their interests, experience and learn about the guild.

This is the third annual Artist to Artist Afternoon and it's growing success is very encouraging to the guild membership. For more information call Jean Bell 306-693-0872.
